A day trip to the south of the country, in the Swabian Alb. On a mountain cone lies the imposing Hohenzollernburg, the ancestral seat of the Hohenzollern.
The house Hohenzollern was once one of the most powerful family dynasties on German soil with a nearly 1000 years old tradition. Her most famous son was Frederick the Great, King of Prussia. Enjoy a fantastic view from 850 meters height of the fortifications of the castle on the entire surrounding area. You will have enough time to walk around the ramparts, the towers and the courtyard of this impressive mountain castle.
The highlight of the day: an interior visit accompanied by a guide. Magnificent halls, halls and living rooms, decorated with paintings, precious porcelain, gold and silver wrought ironwork and historical vestments.
If you fancy Swabian specialties, the restaurant as well as the beer garden are on site.
